St Lawrence is a small town in Queensland, Australia, located 802 kilometres (498 mi) north of Brisbane and 6 kilometres (3.7 mi) off the Bruce Highway. It is part of the Isaac Regional Council local government area. At the 2006 census, St Lawrence and the surrounding area had a population of 195.[1]
Once a prosperous port town, exporting cattle from the hinterland, most residents are now railway workers. The town is located south of St Lawrence Creek, which flows into a vast bay known as Broad Sound, a waterway noted for its large tidal range (up to 9 metres (30 ft) in the summer).

I camped here at The Polo Club where there were many other caravans and Campers and also hot water for showers.
I camped next to the Stable, and later moved next to the Kiosk to be under a tree. It was a wonderful place.
In the evening, everybody started moving to the area beside the Oval to watch the sunset, which certainly put on a magnificent display like watching a huge movie screen full of color.
