Mt Cootha Botanical Gardens Brisbane

The bus went from Stop 46 Adelaide Street to Mt Cootha. We first stopped at the Lookout..You can see Brisbane from there and it is a very compact city.

We took the bus back to the Gardens, and walked through the herb garden to the Restaurant where we had lunch. A water dragon joined us. There were a few of them in the bamboos around the Restaurant enjoying the sun.

My friend stayed there and I walked to the pond, through the Arid Zone and cactus section

Then I walked around the pond and into the Bamboo garden where a duck dived amongst the waterlily leaves, and a bush turkey searched the brush.

We walked to the Tropical Flower Dome greenhouse, where crabclaws and bromeliads were in glorious color

And returned past the Planetarium to collect the last bus back to the city for some last minute After Christmas Sale Shopping
