King Tide at Sandy Bay Russell Island

This was the highest I have ever seen the tide at Sandy Point..

Water covered the sand right to the parking area. The mangroves on the left were all under water creating some sandy swimming places for those who know where to swim

 

This is the boat ramp..under water..and the parking area for the Boating and camping. Some campers had put their tent up here under the trees, and were flooded out when the tide rolled in. Not a good place to park the car and trailer at King tide.

A lone fisherman said he often catches fish here at High tide
