Flood prone, storm tide and drainage constrained land mapping has identified the potential for storm tide inundation to have significant inland penetration during a severe storm event which has the potential to isolate communities on Russell Island. Communities located at the southern end of Russell Island such as those at Sandy Beach and Rocky Point are particularly vulnerable. For the Sandy Beach area on the south eastern tip of Russell Island, indications are that the primary access road – Glendale Road, could experience flooding to the west of Jingella Avenue effectively isolating the entire area

Birthing Pool at Gympie Queensland
Deep in the forest where the river flows. women would have walked the river bed until they reached the birthing pool where they would have participated in ritual ceremonies with an elder presiding. The natural fresh flowing spring water provided healing and soothing with energy from the surrounding rocks and the overhanging trees and shrubs.
Mt Bauple Queensland
I was told there that Mt Bauple died a few years ago after a lady complained about a camper, and she caused enough trouble for everything in the town to close. Today there is so shop, no tea room, no business of any kind…just a Museum.
The town is trying to rejuvenate their tourist trade but with nothing to see, do or attend, no shops, no petrol, no services, it will stay dead until something happens to start up again. You cannot even get to the mountain..the Museum man said it was closed to the public.

Toowoomba Flower Show…Queens Park
Picturesque Queens Park is just a short walk from Toowoomba’s Central Business District. Much loved by locals, the park’s diverse facilities make it a great meeting place or a pleasant stop on your journey.
The north-eastern section boasts an immaculately tended floral garden. While it’s meticulously tended all year round, displays are particularly impressive during spring, especially in September.
