Walk the track to the Canal

There is a track behind the Kingscliff Beach Caravan Park that leads past the Surf Club to the Headland and canal and follows the river back to the other side of town which is where I stopped to watch the view. Its an gentle walk through Faulks park, or you can walk on to Cabarita and back…a distance of 11.9kms.

Faulks Park is a great park for both big and little kids.  For the bigger kids there is a flying fox, climbing net, basketball court (half) and plenty of green space to play ball games.  For the little ones there are swings, slides, a working water pump, tunnels, and balancing obstacles all wrapped up in a pirate ship.  Always good fun!! There are shaded picnic tables and BBQ’s as well as public toilets which makes it a great place for a family picnic or birthday party.  There is also beach access.

I walked on to the Headland where a Learn to Surf lesson was just packing up. In the canal there were swimmers doing laps. The walk continues along the river onwards.
