This is the beginning of a new day…and the ending of the night. When the sky turns red you know the new day is beginning. Today I walk with the little dog along the road that leads to the river where I have to be careful as crocodiles lurk here. There is no way myContinue reading “Another Sunrise over the water”

Sunrise Today 25 April Cooktown
It rained all night and when the alarm went off for the Dawn Service, it was still raining and dark and dismal. So I went back to bed. When I woke up again it was 6.30 and the sky was streaked with a red sunrise.
Sunrise Today
This morning the sunrise was beautiful. Soft colors reflecting on a silent surface, there was barely a ripple on the water. It was perfectly still, like glass with soft and muted colors.
Sunrise 16 April Endeavour River

Sunrise at Laura
There are beautiful sunrises and sunsets here and viewing is from the back of the home area where there is the staff living quarters and a holding paddock and dam. The home property is shaded with many different trees. Another beautiful day has begun.

Cost $1.70 when a taxi would have been $80.00. I shared a taxi with two travellers and gave them $20 for the short ride. RalphContinue reading “Clifton Beach Queensland”

I gave up and walked up to the surf Club where a small coffee stand was serving hot coffee and breakfast snacks and walked back toContinue reading “Sunrise and Sunset Kingscliff”
Sunrise Over the Sea
The last February Sunrise on the Southern Moreton Bay Islands was spectacular. I took the 5.20 am Ferry from Russell island to Redland Bay Marina, taking photos as the colors deepened and changed with vivid intensity. When the sun is low on the horizon during sunrises and sunsets, the sunlight travels through more of the atmosphere. ShorterContinue reading “Sunrise Over the Sea”
